character name: Aro

This is the lead character from my very first comic entitled “Battle X Boy”.
Pretty crappy for a title eh! Hahaha it’s because I was in my elementary days back then, specifically in Grade 3 (1995) when I created this comic. Very much inspired of Dragonball Z and “Combatron” from Pilipino Funny Komiks, I tried creating my own comics and eventually came up with something uniquely stupid but fun! I never imagined it would become a local hit! (In the classroom only) I pretty much enjoyed doing it.

It was on short bond paper and drawn on Mongol pencil only. With hand-written page numbers and encircled it. As to what I can remember, it has more or less 60 pages. Some of the pages were stolen by classmates only to find out they’re secretly rendering them with CRAYONS! One of my fan readers is hehe

This image is just a remake. It’s not like it came from 1995 because I don’t know where my comics went after that. Hand-drawn>applied colored pencil>scanned>manipulated.
